The eight questions
Your ICP brief · 0/8
IDEAL CUSTOMER PROFILE ====================== Industry / vertical: (not defined yet) Company size: (not defined yet) Geography: (not defined yet) Buyer role(s): (not defined yet) Buying triggers: (not defined yet) The expensive problem (their words): (not defined yet) What they do instead of us: (not defined yet) Disqualifiers (looks like a fit, never closes): (not defined yet) One-sentence ICP: (not defined yet) (not defined yet) in (not defined yet), where the (not defined yet) is dealing with (not defined yet).
An ICP built from wishes performs like wishes. Answer from evidence: your best existing customers, the deals that closed fastest, and the lookalikes that never closed (that last one is the disqualifier list nobody writes down). Your answers stay in your browser; copy the brief when you're done.
Common questions
Why do the disqualifiers matter so much?
Because the expensive failure in outbound isn't missing good prospects; it's spending months of touches on lookalikes that never close. Naming who NOT to target sharpens a list faster than adding another filter for who to target.
What if I serve more than one ICP?
Fill the worksheet once per segment rather than averaging them into mush. Separate ICPs get separate lists and separate messaging; blended ICPs get generic copy that resonates with neither.
What do I do with the finished brief?
It becomes the instruction set for whoever builds your lists and writes your outreach: your team, a tool operator, or a service like ours. On our revenue audit, this exact set of questions is where we start.
Want the whole motion handled for you?
These tools cover the checks. Revenue Force runs the entire outbound motion, in your voice, with your approval on every message, and books the conversations onto your calendar.
